Ponders the "science"...

...that asserts that  artificial hormone therapy causes cancer but the same hormones in The Pill decreases cancer, yet somehow the uptick in breast cancer rates in the Third World after we've "modernized them" is due to the use of deodorant. Isn't the media fun?

(Just FYI:  NFP works [that's a link to the Science Daily with research from Europe's leading reproductive health journal] and it won't kill the fish either.)

  1. Don't forget that the many of the same people say it's a national emergency that so many people are taking psychiatric/neurological medications for observable disorders. But taking hormonal medications with an equal or greater number of dangerous side effects *to make a normal body malfunction* for *30 to 40 years* is good medical care.

  2. Rational and real research into women's health seemed to stop with the advent of The Pill, didn't it? I guess as long as we put out, no one cares if we die off. Every revolution has been bloody, including the Sexual Revolution.

  3. My research (& I did much before during & after my hodgkins diagnosis): articial hormones accelerate abnormal cell growth. Period. Birth control &/or hormone replacement therapy. And personally, my first enlarged node was after a brief regimen of birth control to regulate my periods. The last enlarged node was after a brief regimen of HRT for menopause. I had to figure this out for myself. Glad I did. It's good to be alive.

  4. I'm glad you did, too. Your OB should have known and been the one to tell you, but I don't think OBs have put two and two together either. What kills me is that Pediatricians are using the Pill to treat/mask gynecological symptoms without ever determining the cause of the problem. Women's bodies are still mapped out as "Here thar be dragons."
